Colleen Hulce is a Managing Director and head of Cook Associates’ CFO & Financial Officers Practice. With over 25 years of executive search experience, she covers the entire breadth of finance functions, including corporate and divisional chief financial officers, controllers, treasurers, investor relations, tax, planning and analysis, accounting and audit.

Colleen has completed more than 300 senior-level searches across many different industries, including business services, consumer markets, industrial and private equity. Her clients range from large, publicly traded multinational corporations to smaller, middle market companies to privately held organizations and private equity portfolio companies. Colleen has developed numerous long-term relationships due to her client centric approach and consistent diligence with candidate assessment.

Before joining Cook Associates, Colleen was the Global Practice Leader of DHR’s Chief Financial Officer Practice. During her tenure with DHR, Colleen worked on numerous CFO engagements for Fortune 500 companies, private companies and private equity concerns.

Prior to her role with DHR, she served as a Managing Director with Korn/Ferry International for 15 years, where she was recognized as one of the most productive partners in the firm. During her tenure with Korn/Ferry, she completed numerous searches across the C-suite, including chief executive officers, chief financial officers, chief information officers, chief marketing officers, chief human resources as well as boards of directors.

She began her search career with a small boutique firm prior to being recruited to the Chicago office of Russell Reynolds Associates by a former client. Colleen spent the early part of her career as an auditor with a major public accounting firm in Chicago.

Colleen holds a BBA in accounting.

Outside of work, Colleen is very active in her two children’s lives, is a member of the Pali Charter High School Booster Club and PTSA and is an outdoor enthusiast. She is also a member of the Los Angeles Optimist club, providing aid to needy children and their families in the greater Los Angeles area, and she is a key contributor to the ALS Association of Greater Los Angeles.
