Eric Gustafson is a Managing Director with Cook Associates, Inc. Executive Search. A member of the Technology practice, he has nearly twenty years of experience recruiting general management and functional leadership for U.S., European, and Asian public multinationals and private technology corporations. Co-located in the New York and Stamford offices of Cook Associates, Inc., clients have included the leading services providers and manufacturers of digital imaging capture, distribution, and output technology for transaction processes, display, and printing. He has also recruited for the portfolio companies of private equity firms such as Bain Capital, Bain Ventures, JW Childs, JP Morgan, Warburg Pincus, CSFB, and others.
Before entering executive search, Eric acquired a business-to-business technology products and services company and served as its President and Board Director. He began his career with Ashland, Inc., a Fortune 500 diversified industrial organization in human resources focusing on executive staffing and compensation & benefits and held a sales and marketing position in their consumer division. Prior to Cook Associates he was Senior Partner and practice leader in the New York City and Stamford, Connecticut offices of Korn/Ferry International.
Eric holds a degree in Economics with concentrations in accounting and sociology from Lafayette College, Easton, PA where he also played Division I basketball. He has been a member of the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce of New York and lives with his wife and children in Connecticut.
