John Kins is the Chief Executive Officer of Cook Associates, Inc. His uncompromising commitment to excellence and a strong belief in core values – integrity, quality, service and results – have established Cook Associates, Inc. as one of the most highly regarded boutiques in the industry.
John’s history with Cook Associates, Inc. began in 1966 when, after joining the firm, he quickly rose within the executive search ranks from Consultant and Vice President to President and ultimately Chairman & CEO. Throughout his search career, John remained committed to the highest degree of service while conducting over 400 executive level searches in a wide variety of industries. His search engagements included C-level positions as well as senior executives in every functional category.
A hallmark of the Executive Search division at Cook Associates, Inc. has been its focus on industry specialization, and John has remained true to this ideal. In broadening our reach into multiple industry areas, he has carefully selected industry experts to serve as practice leaders. This has continually enhanced the reputation of the firm and solidified it as an industry authority.
In the spirit of innovation, John helped establish a complementary M&A Advisory Services division, making Cook Associates, Inc. the only retained executive search and M&A advisory services firm in the nation. Additionally, John was instrumental in having Cook Associates, Inc. join with InterSearch, the 10th largest global consortium of executive search firms.
John received his degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
