A Director with the Executive Search division of Cook Associates, Inc., Renato Amador possesses extensive experience working across a variety of industry sectors. With a decade of experience in retained executive search, Renato has developed and executed strategies on high profile searches from the Vice President through to the CEO and Board Director levels. He also brings a unique background in developing diverse slates of candidates for corporate talent initiatives, Board of Directors projects and targeted functional searches.

Renato's areas of expertise include senior and functional searches such as CEO, COO, CIO, CFO, Sales, Marketing, Marketing Communications/Services, Merchandising, Logistics, Operations, Finance and Technology. He has conducted searches within the consumer products/services, media & entertainment, professional services, architectural services and manufacturing industries.

Prior to joining Cook Associates, Inc., Renato was an Associate with Spencer Stuart’s High Technology and Internet Practices. He has also served as a Research Associate with Russell Reynolds Associates’ Board of Directors, Diversity and Consumer Markets practices and with a boutique retained executive search firm that focused on the not-for-profit and public interest sectors.

Earlier in his career, Renato worked as a Consulting and Research Services Manager for Euromonitor, a British business information publisher. He has also worked for the U.S. Commerce Department as an International Trade Specialist.

Renato received a Masters of International Affairs degree from Columbia University and his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
