Shaun McNicholas is Chief Technology Officer with Cook Associates, Inc., and is based in the firm’s Chicago headquarters. He has oversight of all software, hardware, database, and telecommunications investments, in addition to managing day-to-day IT operations including the help desk.

Since joining the firm in 2003, Shaun has successfully built a technology department that meets the needs of the various work styles within executive search. He has constructed an environment capable of being as simple as the most basic user requires, yet complex enough to remain current with a growing and constantly changing business environment.

Adept at crossing the intersection where creativity and technology meet, Shaun connects well-designed visual communications and technology to develop useful business tools. From the corporate Intranet to rich-media marketing presentations to designing the proprietary database, Shaun has maintained systems that enhance a user’s interaction with Cook Associates, Inc., both internally and externally.

Prior to joining Cook Associates, Inc., Shaun’s entrepreneurial endeavors included working as a freelance graphic designer, web developer, and Art Director for such clients as Bank One, Home Depot and The City of Chicago.

Shaun offers professional experience in networking design and implementation, network security best practices, database design, creative direction, and professional photography. He has earned the following professional certifications: Altigen Certified Engineer, Cisco Certified Network Associate, Microsoft Office 2003 Level II, and Macromedia Certified Professional.
