Mary Jane Schermer is a Managing
Director in the Consumer & Retail and Healthcare practices for the
Executive Search division of Cook Associates, Inc. Mary Jane’s
executive search expertise within the retail and healthcare services
industries includes a wide range of disciplines such as Sales, Marketing,
Operations, Procurement, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Human
Resources, Finance, and General Management. She handles senior-level
management assignments at the C-level in addition to Vice President
and Director roles.
Outside of the significant
search engagements Mary Jane has conducted in the retail markets—grocery,
mass merchant, pharmacy and specialty—she has a unique specialization
in servicing clients that are a part of the pharmaceutical services
industry. Her client base includes pharmaceutical distributors, packagers
and manufacturers, and providers of pharmacy automation and third party
logistics.
Mary Jane joined Cook Associates, Inc. in 1993 and operates out of the
firm’s Chicago headquarters. During her career with Cook Associates,
Inc., she spent five years in Colorado developing and managing the Western
Regional office for the firm. Mary Jane’s earlier search experience
is with Korn/Ferry International.
She holds a Bachelor of Science
in Finance and Accounting from Purdue University. In addition, Mary
Jane has been invited to speak on selecting and retaining key personnel
by various professional and trade associations including the Food Marketing
