Sarah Barnes
Director of Marketing
Communications
Sarah Barnes recently joined Cook Associates,
Inc. as Director of Marketing Communications. She is responsible
for developing and executing all marketing and public relations
strategies for the firm.
Prior to her position at Cook Associates, Inc., Sarah served as
a Marketing Project Manager for Chicago-based Discover Financial
Services working to launch and market new consumer protection products.
During her tenure at Discover Financial Services, she helped manage
direct marketing initiatives and spearheaded multiple consumer
research projects.
Sarah’s career began in the not-for-profit sector as Director
of Marketing Communications for Midwest Young Artists (MYA). At
MYA, she helped establish the organization as one of the leading
youth music ensemble programs in the United States.
Sarah is currently
on faculty at the Loyola University Chicago Undergraduate School
of Business, where she teaches marketing, and has guest lectured
at the DePaul University Graduate School of Public Relations and
Advertising and at the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana
American Marketing Association. In addition, Sarah serves on the
Board of Directors for International Chamber Artists, a not-for-profit
professional chamber music ensemble located in Chicago, IL. Sarah
received her M.B.A. in Marketing from Loyola University Chicago.
