Sal Piscopo
Vice President
As Vice President with Cook Associates M&A Advisory Services,
Sal is responsible for consulting with business owners to consider
the merits of a private equity partnership or investment, and discussing
private equity-based solutions that allow them to maximize value
creation. In addition, he manages the deal origination and execution
process, from initial contact to deal close.
Throughout the origination process, he is able to provide an insightful
and straightforward analysis of a potential private equity investment.
A law school graduate, Sal’s legal background gives him a
solid understanding of the complex and sensitive nature of contract
and deal structure, as well as provides him with the expertise
to effectively manage the relationship with legal counsel and other
professionals.
Prior to his experience at Cook Associates, Sal spent several
years as a Legal Research Analyst with the Institute for Information
Law & Policy in NYC. In this capacity, he researched and analyzed
legal and public policy developments and the impact such changes
would have on businesses within the Internet, Entertainment, and
Technology industries.
Sal graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Syracuse University.
He also earned a JD with dual focus on Intellectual Property and
Corporate Law from New York Law School. He accomplished this while
serving as an Executive Board member for the Media, Entertainment & Sports
Law Association. Sal is conversational in Italian.
